The »Chosen Few« was released in 2012 and was inspired by an earlier Hanon Shop x New Balance collaboration from 2006. Back then, the 577 »Sole Survivor« and the 576 »Chosen Few« were released as »Northern Sole« pack. The clenched fist emblem was first used in the »Northern Sole« pack and brought back on the insole of the 1500CHF. Also, Hanon was able to convince Flimby to produce a less bulky shape for the maritime inspired shoe.
