New Balance 1500

New Balance has called the 1500 "the closest thing yet to the perfect running shoe." In 1993, the good piece came in gray with blue elements as a "Made in England" model on the market and has been a favorite among running sneakers ever since. ENCAP midsole for excellent running comfort, classic 80s construction and a timeless design speak for the model, which, by the way, was the first New Balance running shoe to crack the 100 pound mark in terms of price.

New Balance 1500 – The "Rolls Royce" of sneakers

We take a look at one of the most popular New Balance silhouettes - the NB 1500. The New Balance 1500 made its official debut in 1989, but not as a pure running shoe, but as part of a whole series of basketball, tennis and training versions. Designer Steven Smith was responsible for the design of the 1500. In the three years he worked for the company, Smith designed some of New Balance's heavyweights, including the 996, 997, 574, and most notably, the 1500. In previous interviews, Smith describes how his inspiration for shoe designs came from aerospace. The New Balance 1500 was a different story: here, he wanted to capture the feel of a "Cadillac or Rolls Royce." To do this, he gave the shoe an ENCAP midsole for added comfort and gave it pigskin leather as the equivalent of Connolly leather (Connolly is the company that supplies leather for Rolls Royce). With its clean look and innovative features, the 1500 continues to hold its own on the streets many years after its debut. Collaborations with streetwear brands and sneaker boutiques from around the world have created an even larger fanbase through the use of different materials and colors, making the 1500 a true sneaker legend.

Handmade quality »Made in UK & USA«

Since New Balance started making shoes in 1906, the way people look at running sneakers has changed. New Balance is constantly improving its sneakers, ensuring that the signature "N" remains synonymous with quality. To constantly maintain this quality, New Balance manufactures its sneakers in factories in the United Kingdom and the United States. The factories in both countries have a variety of differences, but they have one important thing in common: they both produce the New Balance 1500. The 1500s are made with a mix of high-quality leathers and materials not found in other brands. To this day, the New Balance 1500 holds true to its luxury foundation and is made with the highest quality materials found in the UK and the US. This commitment to luxury and quality has attracted people from all over the world, establishing the New Balance Made in England / Made in USA as a shoe for connoisseurs of excellence. Since the shoe's creation in 1985 by Steven Smith, the NB 1500 has become an indelible bridge between the sneaker community and fans of luxury and performance in the U.S. and Europe. The 1500 has been instrumental in creating jobs in the U.S. and reviving artisan shoemaking in the UK. All of this makes New Balance a company that transcends the footwear industry.

How does the New Balance 1500 fit?

We have noticed that New Balance sneakers generally run a little smaller. So if you are between two sizes, we recommend you to choose the larger size - that way you should be on the safe side.
