Four sustainable "Space Hippie“ sneakers

All Space Hippie models revolve around the concept "Trash Transformed", because at Nike waste finds a useful recycling. The four new Space Hippie models therefore contain 85-90% recycled materials such as plastic bottles, T-shirts and industrial waste. Nike has also come up with some very special space terms for the recycled materials. For example, the Flyknit is now made from "Space Waste" yarn, crafted from recycled polyester and yarn waste, while the soft midsole is made from "Crater Foam," a blend of foam and what is known as Nike Grind rubber. The insole was processed from ZoomX foam scraps and provides the right amount of cushioning.

All of the sneakers in the pack rely on a consistent design with a speckled sole, heel strap, a sock-like fit and Nike Sunburst branding.

However, the Space Hippie 04 stands out minimally not just because it''s the lightest sneaker in the collection but it also has the smallest carbon footprint.

Space Hippie 04 as WMNS exclusive in different colorways

Unlike the other silhouettes from the pack, the Nike Space Hippie 04 is designed specifically for the girls. In addition, it is the only sneaker of the pack that was allowed to present itself in several colorways shortly after release. Therefore, the Space Hippie 04 also comes in strikingly bright "Grey Volt" or "Lemon Venom" and is thus a real eye-catcher.
