With an impressive list of achievements and legendary players, the Patriots have left a lasting mark on the world of American football.
The history of the New England Patriots began in 1959 when the team was founded as the Boston Patriots. Success did not come instantly in the early years, but the team established itself as an integral part of the NFL in the region. With the move to Foxborough, Massachusetts in 1971, the team took on its current name, the »New England Patriots«.

The Belichick and Brady era
Over the past two decades, the New England Patriots have enjoyed unprecedented dominance under head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady. Together, they have led the team to six Super Bowl victories in just nine appearances. The duo is undoubtedly one of the most successful coach-player pairings in sports history.
The Patriots won Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII, XXXIX, XLIX, LI and LIII, and Tom Brady was named MVP on multiple occasions.
An ironclad fan base
»Pats« fans are among the most passionate and loyal in the NFL. »Patriots Nation« extends far beyond the borders of New England. They support their team at home and on the road and have one of the loudest and most enthusiastic fan bases in the league.
The post-Brady era
When Tom Brady left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, it marked the end of an era. The Patriots faced the challenge of forging a new path without their star quarterback. With coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Mac Jones, the Patriots continue to strive for success in the NFL.
The New England Patriots have shaped not only the history of the NFL, but also the way football is played.
We look forward to welcoming the legendary Patriots to Frankfurt and will be cheering them on on November 12th!
