The OG design on the Air Max 1 was part of Nike’s »Greatest Hits« collection, which was released along with the Nike Air Stab »Runnin’ Gunnin« and the Nike Air Max 90 »King of the Mountain«. These three models quickly became sneaker classics thanks to their unique design with comic graphics and the striking transparent rubber sole.
This new edition of the iconic original shines in a mix of »Vast Grey« and »Pearl White« and is taking the sneaker scene by storm with its revised design.
The overlays and swoosh panels have been completely redesigned to give the shoe a contemporary look. Mohair suede and mesh in »Vast Grey« meet smooth leather overlays in »Pearl White«. The midsole is bright white, while the outsole is a mix of black and red cedar – a sophisticated color mix that gives the shoe character.
But that’s not all. A special highlight is the custom graphics that can be seen through the partially transparent waffle tread sole. These graphics pay homage to the original design and give the shoe a nostalgic touch that will appeal to collectors and fans alike.
The heel and insole are decorated with red embroidery that reads »KEEP RIP’N« and »STOP SLIP’N« while the mini swooshes complete the look.
